Our Story

Where the Journey Began

In the Fall of 2021, the Elders of The Summit Church in Central Arkansas sent Kyle Fowler and his family to begin a new church in Northwest Arkansas. This would begin a new work of Network Churches that carry the name of The Summit as a church plant into a different region of our state. This work began in a living room in Centerton with a few faithful families, and continued throughout the area as small groups were multiplied.
In September of 2022, The Summit Church Northwest Arkansas officially launched weekly services out of the Bentonville Community Center. Since the official launch of the church, there have been many steps of faith taken to see a movement of God in Northwest Arkansas. One of those steps was a location change to an empty building in Rogers, owned by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention - a place that would quickly be filled with worship across all generations. In November 2026, we were able to purchase the building, now having a permanent space of our own.
It is clear that God is still at work as The Summit Church Northwest Arkansas walks in the prayers that people have prayed beforehand. Meanwhile, we continue to pray for God to use us to plant more churches across this area for His name and His renown.

Multiplying Movement of God

The Summit began in 1998 when a faith-filled group of people stepped out to plant a new church in Central Arkansas. This church would be a place where prayer was the foundation and the presence of God was welcomed and experienced. This church would be about reaching the next generation and helping hurting people. This church would teach God's Word boldly and unapologetically and would have a heart to send people to the nations.  Our desire has always been to help as many people as we can become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Since the beginning of The Summit, the Lord has worked in powerful ways to answer our prayers of being a church that multiplies. Over the last couple decades, The Summit has planted church in multiple cities in Central Arkansas. We are one family of multiple churches, and these churches in central Arkansas are in Little Rock, Conway, Saline County, and Vilonia, with Greenbrier and West Little Rock launching in January 2027.
The Summit has also trained church planters to be sent around the country and sent missionaries around the world. In 2018, during the 20th Anniversary of the church, a new God-sized goal and vision was cast to see The Summit spiritually influence every county in Arkansas, plant churches in 100 cities of North America, and impact 100 countries of the world through prayer, planting, and partnering.
It was out of this vision that The Summit Church Northwest Arkansas began.

Partnership Along the Way

Through our cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention and Arkansas Baptists, we've had access to valuable resources along this journey. We are grateful for our partnership with Send Network Arkansas to continue advancing the Kingdom through church planting. We pray that God would use our church family to continue in this multiplying heartbeat to see more churches planted in Northwest Arkansas for His name and His renown.
